Postpartum Care

Personalized in-home postpartum support designed to help your family recover, adjust, and thrive during the early weeks with your newborn. Care is available during the day or overnight and is provided by Cheryl Klugmann or a carefully selected member of the My Body My Birth team. Services are booked by the hour to meet your family’s unique needs.

Every postpartum doula on our team has been personally selected to provide the compassionate, evidence-based care that My Body My Birth is known for. Cheryl oversees each family’s care plan, carefully matches families with the right doula, and remains available throughout your postpartum journey to ensure seamless, personalized support.

Included in Postpartum Care

  • Infant feeding support, including breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, latch, and positioning guidance

  • Understanding and responding to your baby’s cues

  • Newborn care, including diapering, swaddling, soothing techniques, and hands-on infant care education

  • Compassionate, nonjudgmental support from experienced postpartum doulas

  • Care for your baby while you shower, rest, or spend quality time with older children

  • Emotional support and processing of your birth experience

  • Guidance for postpartum recovery and healing

  • Sleep education, healthy sleep habits, and gentle sleep conditioning

  • Assistance creating a calm, nurturing environment for your growing family

  • Preparing bottles, pump supplies, and feeding equipment

  • Babywearing education and demonstrations

  • Light nursery organization, including your baby’s laundry

  • Evidence-based resources and referrals, including pelvic floor therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, mental health professionals, pediatric specialists, and other trusted providers as needed

Investment

Rates range from $75–$90 per hour, depending on the package selected.

A La Carte – $90/hour

Perfect for families who need occasional support or prefer the flexibility to schedule individual visits. Choose the dates and hours that work best for your family.

Flexible Care (100-hour minimum) – $85/hour

A wonderful option for families looking for ongoing support during the early postpartum weeks. This package may include a combination of daytime visits (4–6 hours) and overnight support (10-hour minimum).

Continuous Care (200-hour minimum) – $80/hour

Designed for families who would like more consistent support throughout the postpartum period while enjoying additional savings.

Deluxe Care (300-hour minimum) – $75/hour

Our most comprehensive package, designed for families who want extensive postpartum support and the peace of mind that comes with having experienced, professional care throughout the early months after birth.
